Young venezuelan musician, Jorge Polanco displays excellent aptitude for music since a very early age, and has mastered the performance of up to seven string instruments such as: cuatro, guitar, bass, bandola, mandolin, cuban tres, and requinto.
Jorge has devoted himself to solo cuatro in a very particular way, combining tradition with influences such as jazz, salsa, and flamenco. He has been part of important bands like Grupo Candela, Un Solo Pueblo, and since 1996, he performs with Huáscar Barradas y Maracaibo. In addition, he plays in the ochestra of world-famous salsa superstar Oscar D´Leon.
He has performed live alongside renowned artists such as: Alirio Diaz, Ilan Chester, Ricardo Montaner, Yordano, Frank Quintero, Maria Teresa Chacin, Guaco, Leonardo Favio,Gilberto Santarrosa, among others.
